Kite surfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: 14-16 knots Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: 1ºC Sea Temperature: 9ºC Weather: Hazy Sunshine Max Speed: Distance Covered:
a really nice, if VERY cold kitesurf session. There wasn't enough water dor
windsurfing, and the wind was around 15-16 knots which is at my limit with
my kite, so I set it up with it as depowered as possible and it turned out
OK. It meant that it wasn't that stable in the air and wanted to luff up
into wind all the time, but once on the water and powered up it was OK.
I didn't do anything special out there, one or two jumps, but the landings
in the bigger ones were pretty close to the beach so I decided to stop
doing those. It was also so cold out there that I was playing it safe as I
didn't really want to get too wet!!
It was still a good session though, nicely powered up with the water to
myself. I could see Shem and some other kites up on the Aberdovey side of
the estuary.
